The biennial World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) provides a platform for overseas Chinese entrepreneurs to promote better understanding and enhance economic cooperation among overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and business communities worldwide. After the inaugural WCEC which took place in 1991, 18 WCECs have been successfully organised. The 19th WCEC will be hosted by Chinese General Chamber of Commerce UAE in Abu Dhabi, UAE in 2027.
Members of the Founder Members Board, namely, Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, have come to a unanimous decision that from 1st January 2026 onwards, the WCEC Secretariat will accept applications to organise the 20th WCEC in 2029, and the application deadline is 30th June 2026. Interested parties should peruse the “Terms and Conditions governing the application to host the World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention” and other related documents. The completed original application form, together with a proposal as well as any related documents, should be submitted in triplicate to the WCEC Secretariat by email and post.
